Incredible Embeddables

After some experimenting with embeddable mp3 players for the site, I've determined a new uploading format. All new songs will be posted individually through boomp3, but there is a NEW FEATURE at the bottom of the page now which allows you to hear any track I've uploaded so far through Soundclick. I'll be uploading tracks into that tonight.

If you are still experiencing problems with the Boomp3 players PLEASE let me know, I don't want to upload too many more files until I know I've got a system that works =)

Time Travelling

Moving in reverse-chronology, here's some tracks I've made over the past few weeks. You know the deal, instrumental hip hop with mixes of samples and synths.

First up is the track "Bodies" which I am particularly proud of. There's two sections so make sure to listen for the change-up.

"Kill/Save" is up next, this is actually one of my personal favs even though most ppl dont seem to feel that way...

Normally Kill/Save has a very strong bass line but it doesn't seem to be coming through for me. Please let me know if you can hear it on your computer or if I need to redo the file upload...

And let's top it off with "Alive Again" one of my more typical long forms...

That's today's post. Next time you might not get so lucky. MUAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!

New Song- "Diemandisstricked" and a New Short- "Make It Right"

Created 2 new instrumentals today using a mix of samples and synths. These tracks are both experiments in what I'm going to call "beat denial" which is to say they either delay (as with the first track) or barely (as with the second) drop a real beat. Inspiration from tracks by Mos Def, Reflection Eternal, the Roots, pretty much anyone with a longform track that doesn't insist on banging constantly, yet also doesn't go SMOOTH. I'm really interested lately in what makes a truly mature and complex track, as opposed to just a hot one. Not trying to suggest these are complex and mature, just that they are part of my ongoing experiments in trying to capture that sound.

Success!

I think all is working well with mp3 uploading... please let me know if you experience any troubles.

To celebrate I upload a terrible song I made called Smash Matthews Ladies. Yes it's bad. Yes I love it. Guitar by Fuh-Z.

Super special awesome winnings to Boomp3.com for having a free mp3 file hosting/sharing site with an embeddable player.

Testing 1-2 1-2

First post, let's see if this sucker works:

I'm going to start out with an instrumental I made for Blastphumis of Phatal Records that I call Sounds of the Nation, created in early 2007. Let's hope it works.
